Affirmation Needs Your Support for General Conference 2004

Hello there -- Theo, CR's administrative assistant, here! Affirmation is yet another group working within the United Methodist Church to press for changes in the UMC's Book of Discipline which will sanction and approve the practices of sodomy and lesbianism as well as full acceptance of these persons into the ordained ministry of the UMC. A more complete description of Affirmation follows at the end of the appeal you see below.

Affirmation Needs Your Support for General Conference 2004

For more than 25 years, Affirmation has been a critical factor in making our church face what it would have preferred to avoid.

Affirmation calls The United Methodist Church to be in ministry with all of its members and challenges it to lay aside policies and practices that tell LGBT persons they are second class in the eyes of God.

Affirmation is able to do what no other organization in this arena can do - be the voice of open LGBT people advocating and agitating to open hearts and to make changes in the United Methodist Book of Discipline.

We ask you to support our work by sending a check or making a credit card gift online at www.umaffirm.org/donate.html for $500 - $100 - $25.

Support the work Affirmation is doing in at General Conference in Pittsburgh, April 27-May 7, and every year. And join us in Pittsburgh. There is more information in our newsletters, available on our web site www.umaffirm.org

Blessings on you for all you do and for all you continue to do!
