A National Rage Against Violence, BUT Not Always!

A National Rage Against Violence, BUT Not Always!

In recent years our republic has experienced an increased amount of violence not just individual acts of one person against another, but a number of mass shootings in public places such as churches, shopping areas, and schools. There has been national outrage expressed by these events, including statements repeatedly by President Biden on the latest incidents involving a school shooting in Texas and others. The mass media have jumped on this like maggots piling on a carcasse during a hot summer day!

And going back a number of years ago, without warning violence erupted in an unprecedented way on U.S. soil on the morning of September 11, 2001 leaving a nation and its leaders in a state of shock and unbelief!

Then heart rending reality began to set in as the nation and the world began to view and process the images which captured such things as the actual impact of 2 hijacked commercial airliners into the majestic World Trade Center in New York City and the subsequent total collapse of those dual 110 story structures! The shock was further intensified upon learning that a third hijacked airliner had been crashed into the Pentagon in Washington DC, and a fourth airliner crashed into a rural area in south central Pennsylvania. The last one appears to have had some passengers on board who overpowered the terrorists and caused the aircraft to crash prematurely before reaching the terrorists' intended target in DC.

TV networks suspended all regular programming, including commercials, and concentrated on reporting anything and everything related to the tragic series of events on the morning of September 11, 2001.

A week after the terrorists' attack it was still impossible to tally the total number of victims. The number of missing reported in the World Trade Center area had passed 5,000 in number and was expected to go higher, with the grim reality that the bodies of a number of the victims would never be found, much less identified amidst the tangled debris of the WTC.

As time passed, rage was increasingly expressed in numerous ways, sending a message that the nation needed to take action quickly and retaliate against the perpetrators. Prayer services were held, flags were displayed, candles were lit, and patriotism was revived to a level not witnessed since the days of WW II!

The rage is practically universal, the only difference being seen in the discussions as to how it should be expressed. The president, members of his administration, members of the U.S. Congress, leaders in other sectors of our nation, analysts, and "experts" of various stripes have not hesitated to express their anger at these heinous acts! The one solid agreement is that something needs to be done and the world needs to be purged of those who live to terrorize others for whatever reason.

BUT, far exceeding the vicious terrorists' attacks of September 11, 2001 is another horror of a different kind that does not receive similar attention and there is no duplication of the rage now exhibited as a result of what the terrorists did! I refer to the violent destruction of unborn children which has legal sanction in this nation of which it is said that every person should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!

Our media people did not hesitate to repeatedly expose us to the images of the violent taking of life by the actions of terrorist individuals! And this fueled the rage and anger as we witnessed the crashes, the fireballs, persons leaping to their death, and collapse of the 110 story towers!

What do you suppose would be the result if our media spent as much time exposing us to the violent results of unborn children being destroyed in the womb? Take a good look -- yes, many will get mad, but more so at me for posting the below photo, than at the person responsible for such carnage! This little fellow for whom God had a wonderful purpose sort of looks like he went through a plane crash, doesn't he? Just remember, the "terrorist" in this case has "Dr." in front of his name -- title in this case is used very loosely of course! And you are aware, aren't you, that the group of individuals mentioned above which has not hesitated to express its rage at terrorist acts seem to be rather tight lipped about these terrorist acts of a different kind which have been sanctioned in the "land of the free, and the home of the brave" for nearly 50 years (as of June 2022)!

And isn't the above a result of a kind of terrorist act in its own right? You have an unborn child, whom God is forming for a very wonderful purpose, resting in the peaceful sanctuary of his/her mother's womb. Suddenly, and without any warning, a "terrorist" of a different kind strikes without mercy! His tools of destruction may vary -- a tailor made "vacuum cleaner" -- stainless steel tools that tear, mutilate, and mangle -- the injection of a poisonous, burning solution -- as he violently invades that peaceful sanctuary which offers no protection whatsoever from the this new breed of terrorist which inhabits mainland USA! To add insult to injury, this new breed of "terrorist" gets paid big bucks for producing the result which is pictured above! He drives luxury automobiles, lives in luxury homes, and sends his children (the ones that didn't go through what he does to other people's children) to the best schools of learning, and is considered to be an upstanding citizen in his community -- and likely he will be a church member! All this and no protest of his violent acts except by a small vocal minority which is written off as a group of radical extremists in need of psychological counseling!

This different kind of "terrorism" waged against the unborn has resulted in a total number of nearly 64 million victims since the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling in 1973 -- you realize, do you not, that this number is nearly the same on a daily basis as the number of victims of the terrorists' attacks of September 11, 2001! How about taking about 60 to 90 seconds to look at the little record keeper below -- it tallies rather accurately how the USA is progressing in its daily "shedding of innocent blood!"

Millions of unborn children have been intentionally murdered all over
the world over time and the United States has contributed tens of millions
to the total - see latest tally at Number of Abortions

However, we know that such concentrated exposure to this unique brand of United States' terrorism on a scale comparable to what we saw beginning with September 11, 2001 simply will not happen. Here are a few reasons why:

a majority of mass media people along with those in TV, movie, and music industries are pro-abortion in their view of life, and while they do not hesitate to expose us to violence in terms of news reporting as well as canned violence offered under the guise of "entertainment," they vehemently object to showing us the mangled pieces of an unborn child.

a large number of politicians are pro-abortion in their views and insist on supporting a "woman's right to choose."

a considerable number of special interest lobbying groups are pro-abortion in their position and make it their business to insure that the insane decision of 1973 remains intact.

leadership in many other areas of our culture such as education and business, and in the professions is more likely to be pro-abortion than pro-life, or at best, they will try to straddle the fence with claiming to be "pro-choice."

church leadership, especially in the mainlines, usually will try to do fancy foot stepping on the issue of abortion, but in all too many cases end up with pious expressions which when translated into plain English tells a woman she can get an abortion if the pregnancy will bring about "undue hardship" and "mental anguish" for her! If you want an interesting experience, ask them how they feel about the violence of capital punishment and see how fast they get their mouths into high gear and then into overdrive!

Conclusion to all this? Simply that once again the country is more than a little bit inconsistent -- we are enraged when mass shootings take place or terrorists strike and a few thousand lives are lost in the process of those attacks, but there is no real public outrage, and NO media focus on the nearly 64 million victims who have been violently torn apart and dismembered since January of 1973! By the way, if we had all nearly 64 million of those unborn victims' remains in one pile, how high do you believe the pile would be in comparison to those 110 story towers of the World Trade Center?

And are we, who have our flag waving moments, our emphasis (for a while at least) on prayer and calling on God, our candle lighting vigils, and singing out strongly the words of "God Bless America," so naïve as to believe that God will not make a response to this violence that has been condoned and encouraged for over 49 years (as if June 2022)? It may well be that since we have not been nationally outraged at this violence directed toward the innocent unborn ones, God has permitted us to taste and experience violence in other forms! Time will tell whether we will see the folly of our ways, repent, and put an end to the thousands of daily violent acts which destroy tomorrow's future citizens, just as surely as we seem determined as a nation to end gun violence and to rid the world of all terrorist organizations and their members.

What do you say? Are you outraged at those responsible for ALL victims of violence, or have you chosen to be quite selective and overlook the violence that takes thousands of lives on a daily basis throughout the United States as does the President of the United States, the members of his administration, and the party with which he is affiliated?

NEVER FORGET! Each day a mass shooting takes place with a few lives being tragically lost as a result, and the President prattles on along with many others about gun control, hundreds of unborn children were mutilated and murdered in acts of planned homicide! Not one mention of these mass murders or a rant about banning the tools used in these killings much less bringing charges against the killers!

Post Script: Just so you know - yes, I participated in prayer services, I had a candle burning all night on a banister on my front porch, I had a 5' X 8' flag flying in front of my home, and I participated in singing "God Bless America." BUT my anger is not limited to the acts of terrorists which took the lives of thousands of innocent victims in this country on September 11, 2001 -- I also am outraged at the indifference and apathy concerning the sanctioned violent destruction of over 65 million unborn children since 1973 and the fact that the mood in this country seems to be that we can sweep all this under a rug, refuse to honestly face it, and believe that God isn't paying any attention, or that He only takes notice when we piously sing for Him to bless America! Don't be surprised if we see more chaos in the times to come if there is no sincere and serious move to repent and make things right with a holy God starting at the national level, then down to state, city, community, church, family, and individual levels! cdh

Take a Selah Moment Before You Leave!

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: "Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Do not trust in these lying words, saying, 'The temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD are these.' For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever."
Jeremiah 7:3-7 NKJV

Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers, nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand, for You have filled me with indignation.

Jeremiah 15:16,17 NKJV
