In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave
themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. |

This week we have been deluged with e-mails, television news and newspaper articles condemning the repulsive content of the half-time performance at the Super Bowl last week-end. While I certainly agree with the condemnation of what happened, I am wondering why people were so surprised. All of us should have seen it coming.
The sexual content of most television programs, the music and behavior presented on MTV daily, the use of obscenities by celebrities from all areas should have served as notice of what is happening to this nation and its culture. Each new television program tries to "push the envelope" just a little further than the last How could anyone miss the warning signs?
Anyone who has read my Reflexions the past months knows that I have written regularly about the moral decline of this nation and how we are turning our backs on God and worshipping the personalities of worldly morality. We stand by while the FCC allows the filthiest language to flood the airways. We can't wait to read about the latest"sexcapades" of movie stars, rap musicians and foul-mouthed politicians. We watch two female entertainers "deep" kiss on television and then rush out to buy their videos and recordings. We sit back and say nothing while the networks put on programs glamorizing homosexual behavior and express no chagrin while plans are made for a homosexual network for television. Yet, we express shock and surprise at what happened at the Super Bowl.
Why was it not expected from those putting on the program?
The time has come, actually past, that Christians should pray and pray earnestly for moral change in this nation. The time has come, actually past, that Christians should openly condemn what is corrupting the morals of our young people. The time has come, actually past, for Christians to tell the activitist judges and purveyors of political correctness that we have had enough! The time has come, actually past, that Christians should do everything in their power to protect their children and their homes from the cancer of immorality sweeping across this nation.
