Those who are a little bit familiar with World War II recognize the name of Joseph Goebbels. He was Adolph Hitler's propaganda minister during the horror years of the Third Reich. Dr. Goebbels was an expert at deceiving the German people for quite a period of time. This man was so skilled in the manipulative use of propaganda that he could have convinced you that white was really black and vice versa! [1].

If he were still living today, Goebbels would have recommended for honored recognition a number of individuals in the present day news media field, the movie and TV industries, health care professionals, high profile advice columnists and talk show hosts/hostesses, along with certain religious, political, and civic leaders. The reason for the reward is the success that these individuals are having in convincing American society that the sodomite/lesbian way of life is quite normal and should be universally accepted as such by our culture. Goebbels did not waste time on "little" lies -- he went for the jugular by persuading Germans to believe the "big lie!" And so it is today that we are being pressured to believe the "big lie" about sodomy and lesbianism.

Propaganda is a skillful use of deception so that the truth is hidden or at best badly distorted -- it amounts to persuading people to believe a lie or series of lies. Certain rhetoric is usually employed in order to reinforce the lie, bringing a person to the point where if one is ever confronted with the truth, that truth is automatically rejected! Even today there are persons who choose to deny the Nazi Holocaust ever took place! And at the end of WW II as German citizens were forced to personally witness the horrors of the Nazi death camps there was an intense struggle as to whether this really had happened.

For a quite some time the rhetoric employed by the sodomite/lesbian propagandists has been instrumental in breaking down resistance. Persons who once opposed the practice of sodomy and lesbianism on moral grounds, as established by Almighty God in His revelation to us, no longer have objections to these abominations. Such persons are even found among the ranks of clergy and its leadership! [2].

It is impossible to give extensive details as to the propaganda strategy, but it can be said in this limited space that much attention is given to presenting the sodomite/lesbian lifestyles in a very positive light by means of the massive media culture. There is considerable attention also given to the negative experiences sodomites and lesbians are undergoing in society. These experiences involve being victims of criminal acts, being excluded from serving in churches as pastors or in lay leadership positions, being denied the right to "marry," and being denied the right to adopt and raise children as is the privilege and responsibility of married heterosexual couples.

In the midst of the flow of information related to this issue, the method of presentation is such that one is led to believe, if one accepts the propaganda, that sodomites and lesbians are morally upright people who fear God, who are born with a genetic code which makes them what they are, and who are victims of widespread prejudice in the market place, the work place, socializing places, and in the church.

The entertainment industry has in a sense "pulled out all the stops" when it comes to marketing sodomy and lesbianism as being morally acceptable lifestyles. Those who object to such lifestyles are always labeled in the most negative terms. This labeling has been quite successful in the quest for acceptance. After all, who wants to be part of a group of individuals known to be mean-spirited, hateful, bigoted, prejudiced, unloving, homophobic, and worse of all, to be unchristian? And bear in mind that within church circles we are constantly being confronted with terms such as our "Christian lesbian sisters" and our "Christian gay brothers!" Do you see why any protest on the part of persons who believe the Bible still means precisely what it explicitly declares on the subject of human sexuality is immediately countered with the aforementioned negative labeling?

The sodomite and lesbian propagandists and their influential sympathizers will continue to hurl the those negative labels at any and all who stand in their way as they pursue their objective of forcing full acceptance in our culture. Full acceptance includes pastors performing same-sex union ceremonies in the near future and eventually state and church sanctioned marriage a bit further down the road. Within the church it means full inclusion and participation of unrepentant sodomites and lesbians in the life and work of the church including ordination of practicing sodomites and lesbians for the ministry! It further means acceptance without objection to newly defined "families" consisting of two sodomites or two lesbians rearing adopted children.

Could the day be coming in which it will be illegal to even suggest that sodomy and lesbianism are morally wrong and an abomination in the sight of a holy God? Hate crimes legislation being proposed at both federal and state levels these days seems to be moving in that direction. In Goebbels' day the propaganda machine he masterminded was so successful that if one were to merely speak out publicly against the Nazis it was considered a criminal offense, and the guilty party was in big trouble even facing possible execution!

Now then, how about a sample of sodomite/lesbian propaganda? This little gem is but one of a multitude assaulting us in a host of different ways with a basic message that says, "Accept us (we who practice sodomy and lesbianism) or else!"

9:00 PM (HBO) Six Feet Under The critically acclaimed dramedy concludes its freshman season with the two-part "A Private Life/knock, Knock." David (Michael C. Hall) is forced to face his fears about his sexuality when a gay man is murdered at the hands of homophobes. Later, he is put in an awkward position at church when the deacons get the news that Father Jack has been marrying same-sex couples. Nate (Peter Krause) teams up with Brenda's (Rachel Griffths) parents to persuade her to institutionalize her brother (Jeremy Sisto). Frances Conroy and Lauren Ambrose also star.

Summer 2002! Soulforce in its news release indicated that a video will be made available later this summer or fall which is titled, "The Debate is Over. The Verdict is In. Not a Sickness! Not a Sin!" How about that? Yes, beyond doubt, Dr. Goebbels would highly commend this piece of work when it comes to convincing people that the big lie is really true!
