As might be expected, when one is attempting to be elected to the highest political office in the United States of America, oodles and oodles of promises gush forth in greater volume than the waters of the South Fork Dam which broke in May of 1889 causing widespread destruction and death in Johnstown PA.
John Kerry & Co. promise something for everyone. Therefore it stands to reason that every registered voter should elect Kerry as the next president of the U.S. of A. and cash in on all those promised "benefits!" After all, you are dealing with a political version of Santa Claus -- but then, the Republicans can play the game equally well -- the only difference in the conventions of the two parties is location, the names and the labels! The common denominator is the gusto with which promises are made in the vain effort to solicit votes.
As Kerry came to the conclusion of his acceptance speech he said, "For America, the hope is there. The sun is rising. Our best days are still to come." All this rests on the possibility that he and John Edwards will occupy the top political positions of United States government in Washington DC.
However there is one group of individuals for whom there is no hope in the U.S. of A., upon whom the sun will never rise, and for whom the best days in this republic will never take place. In fact a significant "plank" in the Democratic Party platform guarantees that it is quite acceptable to destroy about 4.8 million unborn children over the term of John Kerry if he should be elected president and take office in January 2005!
Why is it an acceptable practice? Because according to Kerry and the Democratic Party as well as others outside the party, it is a woman's "constitutional right" to choose to destroy her unborn child if such is her desire! There are even church leaders who buy into this approach. Try throwing that "constitutional right" garbage in the face of Almighty God and see what kind of response you get!
Now then, time for a numbers check -- observe our little "record keeper" for about 60 to 90 seconds and see what is happening!

On the other hand, the Republican Party has many members who claim to be "pro-life." George W. Bush claims to be a "pro-life" president. There are senators who claim to be "pro-life" and have been supportive of pro-life legislation when such legislation makes a rare appearance on the congressional agenda. But some of these have a problem in being consistent, including "pro-life" Senator Rick Santorum who zealously endorsed pro-abortion Senator Arlen Specter in the 2004 spring primary election in Pennsylvania!
The TV ads were running at full throttle and perhaps the crowning climax was a photo taken in Pittsburgh of President Bush in the center flanked by Specter and Santorum with clasped hands raised in the air to symbolize unity in the Republican Party in the Keystone State while pressing for Specter's victory over pro-life challenger, Representative Toomey!
So, take a look at the number of unborn victims brutally mutilated and murdered since George W. Bush took office and the Republicans have been in control of the U.S. Congress!

As you look at the numbers, would you agree that it doesn't look like the "pro-life' party has done much to reduce the toll of victims, does it?
So, which is worse -- to say hope is ahead and the sun is rising, but then draw a boundary line around 4.8 million unborn children and say, "This thing about hope and a rising sun doesn't apply to you when I become president!" OR to claim that we are "pro-life" but essentially confine it to some rhetoric shouted out on January 22nd each year during the Washington DC March for Life and then basically do nothing significant to bury Roe v. Wade in order that millions may live rather than face mutilation and murder by white-coated "executioners" while still in their mothers' wombs?
If a president is truly pro-life, then the lives of all unborn children will be a top priority with an aggressive strategy pursued and the confronting of Congress with the fact that the health and future destiny of our republic hinges more on what we do to protect and preserve unborn human life than on any other national issue!
Oh yes, a P.S. on this -- remember how we were told of the urgent need to bring Saddam Hussein down -- among other things, he was a cruel and brutal dictator with many people victimized under his tyrannical rule over the years -- take a look at our record of brutality which never makes the NBC, ABC, CBS or Fox evening news!
