April 23, 2003 -- One of many horrible revelations related to Saddam Hussein's brutal rule over the Iraqi people was information on the use of the "people shredder."
A personal eye witness account provided this description of the "people shredder" at work:
"There was a machine designed for shredding plastic. Men were dropped into it and we were again made to watch. Sometimes they went in head first and died quickly. Sometimes they went in feet first and died screaming. It was horrible. I saw 30 people die like this. Their remains would be placed in plastic bags and we were told they would be used as fish food ... on one occasion, I saw Qusay [President Saddam Hussein's youngest son] personally supervise these murders."In concluding her statements in which the above description was cited, *Ann Clwyd, British Labor Party Member of Parliament, said,
"I do not have a monopoly on wisdom or morality. But I know one thing. This evil, fascist regime must come to an end. With or without the help of the Security Council, and with or without the backing of the Labour Party in the House of Commons tonight."*Ann Clwyd is chair of INDICT, established in 1997 to campaign for the creation of an ad hoc International Criminal Tribunal to try leading members of the Iraqi regime on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including genocide and torture. Distributed by the Office of International Information Programs, U.S. Department of State.
http://www.truthnews.net/world/2003030129.htmLikely a very large number of people were outraged when they learned some details about Saddam's "people shredder" -- it may be that some even muttered something like this:
"If they ever catch that guy, they ought to put him into the shredder feet first and hold on to him so that it chews him up slowly inch by inch!"
But let's hold our indignation in check for a moment until we look at something else --
Are you keeping your rage controlled?
Yes, the blood pressure has crept up a bit, but hold the lid on that anger as best you can…..have you still got it reasonably under control yet? Good!
OK, now take a peek at something, as you remember that personal witness account of Saddam's "shredder" swallowing its victims....No, this little one didn't go through Saddam's "shredder," although it looks like he/she did -- he/she is one of hundreds each day who was on the receiving end of some "tools" used by some character who wears a white coat with his name stitched on it and those letters "M.D." added to his name -- he made some nice bucks from this special USA brand of "shredding" --
-- this unique type of "shredding," in the name of "constitutional rights," goes on every week day and Saturdays in a lot of places in a nation that has a historical document called the Declaration of Independence. This document contains a statement of belief that all persons are endowed with certain unalienable rights by their Creator and these include the right to "…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."Come to think of it, could that "M.D." in the above situation really mean "Mad Dog?" Seems to be more applicable, don't you think?
And did you see that quarter in the picture -- isn't that one of a number of coins in the USA which has the inscription, "In God We Trust," on one side? Sad, is it not, that the above victim is not included in the pronoun, "We?"
By the way take a look at how many victims such as the one pictured above there have been since "Operation Iraqi Freedom" started on March 19, 2003! Originally I had a counter here, but it quit functioning, so now I have a link which gives numbers in the U.S. as well as the world, and many seem to think that Almighty God is not paying any attention to this slaughter of those whom He was forming in the womb for a high and holy purpose!
Millions of unborn children have been intentionally murdered all over
the world over time and the United States has contributed tens of millions
to the total - see latest tally at Number of AbortionsNow there will be those who will get real mad at me because I posted the above picture. How very odd that some get intensely mad at me, but they feel no rage against those who have chalked up more mutilated and murdered victims than Hussein's "people shredder" ever did! How do you explain that, other than the fact there is a lot of doo-doo hypocrisy going on in regard to this issue -- not a few politicians and church leaders are in it up to their eye balls! And maybe their eye balls have gotten splattered a bit from that stuff so that they can't really see the moral issues that need to be immediately addressed and corrected in this wayward nation -- or maybe they prefer the wrath of a holy God, which is what will happen if quick and corrective action is not taken!
Will anything be initiated by our elected officials to stop this carnage? At this point in time, it doesn't appear so -- for one thing, we have too many people in government, the mass media, and the church who have consciences about as tender and sensitive as the SS Nazi commanders of the death camps in WW II who had small children tossed in the air and used them for target practice with their pistols!
Second, it is far easier to focus on Saddam's "shredding" machine and other torture/murder implements and express self righteous outrage than it is to face up to reality of brutalized mutilation and murder taking place by the thousands within the borders of our home land every week of the year!
